It's time to VOLUNTEER:
what to do with those extra hours while the kids are in school?
Imagine how great you would feel helping an elderly or disabled neighbor -
a few hours a week or a month...
Give us a call and BECOME A VOLUNTEER TODAY!!
We want to thank our good friends at the Bank of America Foundation for their support of our Supportive Services program. Their grant to Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers to meet Critical Needs for Hunger Relief and Food Access, will help us continue getting food to frail elderly, chronically ill and disabled adults in our community.
Each week, we receive multiple calls and requests for help getting food to hungry people across the county who cannot get to the grocery store or local food pantry on their own, either because they do not drive and are disabled or too frail (due to age or infirmity) to take public transportation, cannot carry heavy bags or cannot leave their homes. Sometimes it is an individual who needs assistance; other times it is a family in need.
This grant from Bank of America will help us to continue to find, train and coordinate new volunteers with the folks who need our help to get the food they need. At this time of Thanksgiving, we deeply thank the BoA Foundation for their support.
deepest thanks to the John Edward Fowler Foundation for a $10,000 grant
for general operating support. Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers - our
Board, staff, volunteers and care receivers - is so grateful for this
timely grant. With their help, we will be able to continue the work we
do in helping frail elderly, disabled and chronically ill adults in our
community maintain independent living in their own homes. THANK YOU SO
WE ALWAYS NEED CARING VOLUNTEERS!
Every day the demand for assistance within the elderly community of Loudoun increases and we are working hard to meet the need. Currently, our greatest need is support from good Volunteers willing to take our Care Receivers to and from medical appointments during business hours.
If you can help, please call us today at 703-779-8617.

- Volunteers Are on the Move. In just one year, Caregivers volunteers will provide more than 4,000 services and log 65,000+ miles while transporting the county's elderly and adults with disabilities to medical appointments and other important destinations. Thank you again and again to all of our volunteers. It's because of you that our vulnerable neighbors are able to thrive.
