Who We Are Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers, a Faith in Action program, is a non-profit coalition of more than 200 volunteers from Loudoun County who help frail elderly and disabled adults maintain independent living. Caregivers provides a wide range of support services including transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, meal preparation, household chores, special outings and help with managing personal financial affairs through the AARP Foundation’s Money Management Program.
Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers works closely with local faith communities and agencies such as the Department of Family Services, the Department of Mental Retardation/Mental Health and the Area Agency on Aging to fulfill the needs of Loudoun County residents who do not qualify for sufficient help from county, state or federal agencies and often times, fall through the cracks.
Established in 1995 with a grant from the National Federation of Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers, this nonprofit has grown to be a vital part of the Loudoun County community with continued funding from grants, fund raising initiatives and donations by participating businesses, congregations, civic agencies, volunteers and collaborative partners.
